BIOGRAPHY
RAFFAELE GRASSO
Raffaele Grasso, worked as assistant director on the series Esterno Notte (M. Bellocchio) and M - Il figlio del secolo (J. Wright), on the medium-length film O Night Divine (L. Guadagnino), on the films Fino alla fine (G. Muccino), Blackout Love (F. Marino) and Happiness (M. Ramazzotti).
His latest work as a director, La Carezza , starring Gabriel Montesi and Peppe Piromalli, is currently distributed by Premiere Film. In 2023 he directed the documentary Summerschool Il Racconto produced by ANICA Academy.
He won the 2022 Solinas Award for best short script in the “Screen in Green” section, the 2020 Bixio Award for best series concept together with Matteo Bianchi. In 2021 he was a finalist at the InediTo Colline Award in Turin with a script for an animated short and won the award for best script at the Inventa Un Film Festival and best concept at the Plot Point Awards 2022.
Selected for La Stanza delle Storie, a high-level training workshop by AIR3 - Italian Directors Association, with Federica Pontremoli (screenwriter of Il Caimano, Il Sol dell'Avvenire, Habemus Papam ). He graduated in film directing at the Renoir Film Academy in Rome, and graduated with honors in Forms and Models of Italian Cinema at La Sapienza University in Rome, where he attended the Master in Screenwriting, Production and Marketing.
He teaches screenwriting at the Academy of Arts and New Technologies in Rome, and has held masterclasses at La Sapienza, Creatività talentuosa by ANICA Academy and Calabria Film Commission and at the Master Video art Direction and Storytelling by E-Campus.
He has collaborated as a filmmaker with ANICA Academy, Giornate degli autori, Associazione 100Autori, Noir In Fest.

Agnes leads an ordinary existence, tired by the duties of a young mother towards her son Giuseppe. One morning, apparently like any other, she will have to make an important decision, which will alter the structure of her daily routine and will force her to clash with shadows that are difficult to govern.
Short film presented at the Tulipani di Seta Nera Festival, it was selected by Rai Cinema Channel and broadcast on Rai 1. It was available on Rai Play for three years.
